Best IVF Clinic

Thanks Mel for posting my RE/clinic search request on Lost and Found. I'm looking for recomendations of awesome IVF clinics, primarily on the East Coast. So far, this is what I’ve found doing my own google research…

Weill Medical College of Cornell University, NY, NY -I’ve been told by a fellow blogger that uses Cornell that their embryology/andrology department is fantastic and their numbers are really good.

NYU Fertility Center, NY, NY -Also has fantastic numbers!

Shady Grove Fertility Reproductive Science Center, Rockville, MD -I don’t know much about this clinic, but they have good numbers and I'm from MD, so this would be easy to do.

Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine, Englewood, CO -Not on the East Coast, but their numbers are so amazing, I couldn’t discount them, and they were ranked number one a few years ago!

The Reproductive Medicine Group, Tampa, FL -I don't know much about this one either, but they are in the neighborhood. I just took another look at them thanks to Fertilized and they have good stats as well.

If anyone has any additions or opinions about my list, please feel free to make suggestions or comments.

Stephanie,

I am not sure who your current RE is... although my RE is a Dr. B as well, and reading from some of your descriptions I think that we go to the same doctor.

I had 1 fresh IVF and 2 FETs with FIRM in Jacksonville (firmjax.com) with Dr. B as my primary RE. I moved to CRM in Orlando to follow Dr. B (we liked him a heck of a lot more than his replacement) and I've done 5 DIUI cycles there. Other than our doctor, these 2 clinics are pretty much the same.

I'm going to consider speaking with the RE next time I'm there about donor embryos... something I've never thought about.

I wish you the best!

I had a really good experience at Cooper in NJ. Their prices are very fair and the billing dept. is one of the best and most human of any clinic I have dealt with. Ever.

If you are staying in Florida I would NOT go to FIRM or the mega Orlando clinic. I have had nothing but crap experiences (mostly with nurses) at FIRM. And the Orlando mega clinic doesn't treat single women of alternative couples. Not that you are either, but I feel that is pretty effing lame and more people should know.

There is a really great clinic in the Clearwater/Tampa area called Florida Fertility Institute. I contemplated doing an FET cycle there and they were nothing short of awesome in answering my questions.

Good Luck!

My friend had 2 babies through CCRM in Colorado. She flew out there from Michigan after several failed IVFs here. This was a few years ago, before my awesome clinic opened.

Well I love my clinic, but it would require for you to come to Canada, it has great stats for my age group, it's really small and personal, and i feel like i'm getting a level of care that i would not get if i was in those super large clinics. www.montrealfertility.com

Our clinic is on the SC coast - Southeastern Fertility Center. www.sefertility.com. They have good rates, they're relatively small, VERY well-organized, and are extremely personable. They call when they say they will. I have never had to wait more than 2 hours to hear back from my nurse coordinator, and that's on the longer extreme. Our RE is Dr. Schnorr, but the two other REs also have great reputations.

Thanks for posting these Stephanie. I'm actually going to look into Tampa myself, as Dr. B basically seems to think it's just on to IVF for me, when things in my body have changed so much since being on synthroid and OFF met.

I already sent for info even.

I am a patient at Shady Grove. I have been there since April 2007. They "invented" the shared risk program. All the clinics that have one based it off of theirs. I have had a wonderful experience there and there many locations make it as convenient as possible.

I don't know all their stats but I loved my re! It was Delaware Valley Institute of Fertility and Genetics in Marlton, NJ. I think they have and office in Vineland, NJ which is more south. It is a smaller office with 3 drs. I always felt so welcome and understood. I liked that after a few visits all of the office staff and nurses knew my name. I just loved the personal touch. I have three boys that I wouldn't have without them! I also like that they take a whole body approach and try to fix anything before trying to conceive. I had consults with a few other places and for me nothing compared.

I'm at Shady Grove too. In the middle of my first cycle, and so far I love them. They are incredibly attentive, and the volume of patients they see is huge. Definitely check them out.

Thank you everyone for all the advice. I am going to do my research on the NY clinics as well as shady grove and tampa. M is really pushing for NY (his home) but we'll have to wait and see.

I am a patient at the Reproductive Medicine Group in Tampa, FL. The patient care and attentive attitude of the staff is excellent. I am getting ready to start stims for IVF #1 (and hopefully last)but I have had injectible IUIs there prior to moving on to IVF. All of the doctors there seem to be wonderful.

Here's another vote for Shady Grove! Just transferred 2 blasts today so we'll see if I'm a success story. I have absolutely loved all of the staff.

I use CCRM in Denver with Dr. Schoolcraft after a really negative experience at Southeastern Fertility in SC with Dr. Schnorr. I would strongly suggest being cautious if you elect to use Southeastern. On a positive note, CCRM is wonderful and I've had the best experience, even through a miscarriage process.

I strongly recommend that you look up Dr. Jerome Check with Cooper Center for IVF. He has an office in Philadelphia and another in nearby, Marlton, NJ. I did a lot of research on this topic and after seeing his background, articles, and research that he does, as well as being told by another RE that he is one of the top two in the industry, we flew to his office and he helped us. We now have a 19 month and just last week flew back to have a frozen embryo transfer. The local RE who monitors me says that Dr. Check is a researcher and speaker at most of the fertility conferences that fertility experts attend. We have a family thanks to him and thanks to his wonderful staff at Cooper Center.
